Sabrina Martin earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Toledo in 2005, her Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology in 2008, her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2011 and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in geriatric/neuropsychology in 2014 from the Florida School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Martin completed her APA accredited doctorate internship at Northeast Florida State Hospital and her Post-Doctoral Fellowship with the Florida Department of Corrections. Dr. Martin is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of FL and a Certified Dementia Practitioner CDP #236098.
Dr. Martin has extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of chronic and acute mental and behavioral health concerns. She provides psychotherapeutic services to adults for the purpose of managing stress, anxiety, depression pain, and cognitive problems. Dr. Martin can help assist adults in better understanding their current functioning or diagnoses and help in developing coping skills and strategies to deal with life’s problems. The issues that Dr. Martin specializes in are disorders such as adjustment problems, death/bereavement or grief, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, PTSD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, personality disorders, chronic pain management, cognitive problems, sequelae of stroke or brain injury, identity concerns, drug and alcohol problems, sleep disorders, phobias, schizophrenia and related disorders, OCD, eating disorders and others.
As a Certified Dementia Practitioner, Dr. Martin is able to help individuals suffering from cognitive impairments and deficits and also assist families in dealing with issues that arise with their loved ones. Dr. Martin provides behavioral interventions to help with common problems arising with dementia patients such as wandering, agitation, mood problems, and issues with eating.
